EMS Expands Automated Welding Capability with TruArc Weld 1000

June 2026

Electronic Metalwork Services has expanded its welding capability with the installation of a TRUMPF TruArc Weld 1000 automated welding system.

The TruArc Weld 1000 combines collaborative robot technology with advanced Fronius welding equipment to provide a flexible and efficient solution for repeat-production welding.

The system will be used alongside our experienced welding and fabrication team, helping us increase capacity while maintaining consistent weld quality across suitable production components.

Automated welding is particularly valuable on repeat work where components require the same weld positions, lengths and parameters. Once a job has been programmed, the system can reproduce the process consistently, helping reduce variation and improve production efficiency.

The TruArc Weld 1000 also provides flexibility for lower-volume manufacturing. Components can be programmed without the lengthy setup processes traditionally associated with fully automated robotic welding cells, making the system suitable for a broad range of sheet-metal assemblies.

Our investment in automated welding will allow skilled employees to concentrate on more complex fabrication and specialist welding work while the TruArc system handles appropriate repeat-production operations.

The installation strengthens our ability to support customers requiring fabricated assemblies in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, while improving capacity, repeatability and production planning.

This investment forms part of EMS’s continuing commitment to adopting technology that improves quality, productivity and customer service.
