Electronic Metalwork Services has strengthened its laser-cutting capability with the installation of a TRUMPF TruLaser 3030 L81 4 kW fibre laser.
The new machine represents a major investment in our manufacturing capacity and will enable us to process sheet-metal components faster, more efficiently and with consistently high levels of accuracy.
This project is part-funded by Suffolk County Council by way of the Suffolk Economy Grant
The TruLaser 3030 is particularly well suited to the thin-gauge materials commonly used across our customer base, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper. Its fibre-laser technology provides significantly faster cutting speeds than conventional CO₂ laser systems, particularly on thinner materials.
The machine is equipped with TRUMPF technologies including Highspeed Eco, BrightLine and DetectLine. These features support efficient material processing, reliable cut quality and accurate component production.
Utilising the power supplied from our Solar PV system this helps lower production costs and supports our continuing efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes.
The additional capacity provided by the TruLaser 3030 will help EMS manage increasing customer demand, shorten manufacturing lead times and provide greater flexibility when scheduling both repeat and urgent orders.
The new fibre laser complements our existing laser-cutting and punching equipment and forms part of our continuing programme of investment in modern sheet-metal manufacturing technology.
